We celebrated all things anime this month with a special screening of Katsuhiro Otomo’s cyberpunk classic, Akira.
Awash with crumbling cities, warring bike gangs, militant revolutionaries and powerful psychics, Otomo’s visually stunning tale of a dystopian Neo-Tokyo would become one of the most influential and imitated anime titles ever. And if this Manga masterpiece wasn’t enough, there was music, food and drinks offers, gaming stations and cocktails as well as a discount for all those in their cosplay finery.
