In a genre well known for narrative and visual excess, it would take something truly astonishing to create the undisputed giallo masterpiece, and that’s exactly what we got with Dario Argento’s Deep Red.

After witnessing a grisly murder, a musician (David Hemmings) teams up with his reporter girlfriend to solve the crime whilst a mysterious figure desperately tries to stop them.

With an ocean’s worth of red herrings, a riot of bizarre imagery and a bombastic score, Deep Red on the big screen is not to be missed.
